2026 Online Summer Classes – ESA Eligible

- Novel Study of THE HATCHET by Gary Paulsen. Mondays at 1:00pm (AZ time, class meeting time will be roughly an hour and fifteen minutes.) We will read individually and together, answer questions, create a personal survival book, and art projects. Work time outside of class should be about half an hour each weekday.
When: June 15th – July 20th (6 weeks)

Limited to 15 students - Novel Study of THE ISLAND OF THE BLUE DOLPHINS by Scott O’Dell. Tuesday at 1:00pm (AZ time, class meeting time will be roughly an hour and fifteen minutes.) We will read individually and together, have questions to answer, create an island, and art projects. Work time outside of class should be about half an hour each weekday.
When: June 16th – July 21st (6 weeks)

Limited to 15 students - Poetry. Mondays at 2:30pm (AZ time, class meeting time will be roughly an hour and fifteen minutes.) This poetry class introduces students to essential poetic forms and devices while encouraging experimentation and self-expression. From haiku to free verse, learners read, analyze, and compose poems as they develop a deeper appreciation for the power of words. Work time outside of class should be about half an hour each weekday.
When: June 15th – July 20th (6 weeks)
Cost: $175
Limited to 15 students - Short Story Writing. Tuesday at 2:30pm (AZ time, class meeting time will be roughly an hour and fifteen minutes.) In this short story workshop, students learn to build compelling characters, vivid settings, and page-turning plots. Through guided writing prompts and collaborative feedback, young authors will craft imaginative stories and grow their narrative voice. Work time outside of class should be about half an hour each weekday.
When: June 16th – July 21st (6 weeks)

Limited to 15 students - Life Skills: Time Management. Monday 4:30pm (AZ time, class meeting time will be roughly an hour and fifteen minutes.)
Students explore time as a resource—how to budget it, break tasks down, avoid procrastination, and balance academics with hobbies and rest. By the end, each student creates a personalized weekly plan that supports independence and responsibility. Work time outside of class should be about thirty minutes a day.
When: May 25th – July 13th (8 weeks)
Cost: $220
Limited to 15 students - Economics for the Middle and High Schooler. Tuesday at 4:30pm(AZ time, class meeting time will be roughly an hour and fifteen minutes.) We will learn about finances, budgets, credit cards, the stock market, and so much more. Students will create mock budgets and stock market accounts. Work time outside of class should be about half an hour each weekday.
When: May 26th – July 14th (8 weeks)

Online individual or small group classes that cater to each student’s learning style and interest.
All subjects are taught in an integrated manner. After students receive lessons, they are responsible for their work plan and time management.

Faith Willman
Faith has been teaching for 10+ years in the public Montessori sector in Arizona.
She has a teaching degree in Elementary Education and her AMS Montessori Credential in Secondary I and II.
Faith values student voice and helping young adults find their way through the rigors of academics and life!
